The Best of 2009

I love this time of year when all the "Best of" lists start popping up.   I've always composed my own personal (read: private) list, but this year I feel like sharing.  If Oprah can advertise her "Favorite Things," by cuss, so can I.

For you my friends/fans/followers - These aren't so much strict categories as a random collection of items and experiences that shaped my 2009.

Best Album - Veckatimest by Grizzly Bear

Best Song - Home by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros

Best Movie - Precious

Best Live Show - Neko Case (winner by default because it was the ONLY live show I went to in 09)

Best New Place - Key West

Best Book (Entertainment) - The Twilight Series (c'mon - I am female age 13-30)

Best Book (Scholastic) - Convergence Culture

Best Purchase - Samsung Wireless Blu-Ray Player

Best Discovery - Squarespace

Best Day - Full Sail Graduation
