Hi! My name is Emily Wray and I'm a new media consultant.

I design marketing, informational and educational tools for small businesses - - From brand consultation to web site development to internet marketing.

Many clients tell me they can't keep up with technology while managing the day-to-day operations of a business. My job is to empower them with the tools and training needed to easily integrate information systems into their business processes.  I like to think of myself as a "tech coach."

Who do you know who is struggling to promote their brand, develop a web site or simply connect with their customers?

Please encourage them to call me so I can help find a solution that meets both their technical needs and resources.

    Gotta Keep Reading!

I am as proud as ever to be a graduate of Full Sail's Education Media Design and Technology (EMDT) program.  Check out the latest feather in their cap!  Inspiring minds through media...

Ocoee Middle School is the state technology demonstration school for Florida- showcased every year at FETC. Teachers are transported from the conference to the school to show how technology can greatly impact learning - and Full Sail is (as the principal says), "a BIG part of the change happening in her halls everyday." Her goal is to develop a mini-Full Sail at her school.

A few months ago the EMDT crew met with Sharyn Gabriel (principal) and a few staff to discuss a Flash Mob idea. They were so inspired by the Flash mob scene from the Oprah and Black Eyed Peas show - they wanted to try the same concept - educationally inspired. The band director and reading coach wrote the lyrics related to reading and literacy,- encouraging kids to prepare and read for the FCAT test.

The amazing Full Sail Online Production team made this all happen - they even let the Ocoee Middle School production class shadow them and gave them mini-lessons throughout the shooting process.

    4-Hour Work Week

Me and The 4-Hour Work Week4-Hour Work Week by Tim FerrissA dear friend and mentor of mine, Kathy Craven, sent me a link to a book on Amazon.com that she thought I'd like.  A few curious clicks later, I found myself 20-pages into Tim Ferriss' 4-Hour Work Week (4HWW).  That very night I rushed to my local bookstore to pick up a copy and I haven't been able to put it down since.

The 4-Hour Work Week speaks to that part in all of us that wants more out of life than a stale 9-5 routine for the next 30 years.  There are two points highlighted at the beginning of the book that I can't stop musing about:

    1. What would you do if retirement wasn't an option?
    2. Inactivity isn't the goal. Doing what excites you is!

As I make my way through Tim's guide to "lifestyle design," I'll most likely ruminate here... advertising my intentions... throwing it out there... so I can hold myself accountable for the talk I talk...

It's funny how we stumble onto things in life and attach meaning to them, even if they are just random happenings.  Kathy didn't send me a link to the 4HWW... It was a totally different book.  Yet here I find myself thinking about things - major life things - in a totally new way.  Was it chance or something greater?

In the spirit of the 4HWW, I accepted a challenge posted on Tim's blog to upload an image of me with his book to his Facebook page, tagging several of my friends in the image and inviting them to join me on the road less traveled.  The first X number of people to upload the photo will win copies of the expanded 4HWW for them and their tagged friends.

I would say wish me luck... but luck will have nothing to do with it!
